Have you taken a look at WordPress MU (Multiuser)? I'm not that familiar with Drupal, and actually not even the WP MU, but I've heard it's worked for some people.In general, I like to run all the different sites on different domains, just for the scalability and maintenance issues. Plus if you someday end up flipping (selling) a site, it's way easier if it has it's own domain and such.Anyway, good look with the switch, you probably have your hands full for a while :)
