It sounds like a silly question, but it's really not. Does your blog have a name? In the admin section of most blogging platforms, there's a field for the blog's name. It often defaults to something general like "new site" or its URL. If you remove this default name, but don't replace it with anything, then your blog doesn't have a name.

I've been asked a number of times lately how I test websites that I work on. While I'm never shy about talking about this sort of thing, I thought writing it down might be beneficial.

I've logged close to thirty hours in Internet Explorer (IE) 8 in the last few weeks doing browser testing. The more I use it, the more I think to myself "why would you use Internet Explorer?" There are other, better choices. Here's a quick roundup of what's out there to choose from. Internet Explorer: Each version gets better, I'll grant you that, but that's about all I'll grant you.

I finally installed IE8. It's time to starting making sure all my sites working in IE8 before it comes out this spring. I'm using Internet Explorer Collections to run Internet Explorer versions 5.5, 6, 7, and 8. Internet Explorer 5.5 isn't really necessary I suppose, but I was curious how it stacked up. It's doing about the same as Internet Explorer 6 in my testing. Internet Explorer 8 isn't as bad as I'd feared, but it's not as good as I'd hoped either.
